About us
We are a fast paced, rapidly growing company, based in Yate and require a further van driver/sales assistant to join our team. We are looking for a fun, energetic individual, who is excited by the opportunity to grow within an expanding business and excited by the opportunities that will come with this.
Duties:
- Safely operate a 3.5T van to transport goods to their destinations.
- Load and unload cargo as needed.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organised van.
- Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately.
- Give high level customer service when dealing with customers when on the road & in store.
- When you’re not delivering & collecting orders, you will be based on our shop floor assisting customers in store and cleaning and organising stock & the showroom.
Requirements:
- Sales experience.
- Valid manual UK driving licence (Category B/B1 which covers you to drive up to 3.5T vehicles) with a clean driving record thats been held for at least 3 years.
- Commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Outstanding communication skills targeted at handling customers face to face and over the phone.
- Exceptional time management, working to tight deadlines.
- Capability of working well under pressure.
- Proven ability to exhibit great attention to detail.
- A great team player.
Due to the nature of the work some heavy lifting is required. This includes safely carrying and assembling furniture. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable to carry out this nature of work.
Normal working hours: 4 days a week 10-4pm / 1 day a week 11-3pm
Pay: £11.50-£11.86 per hour
