The main stage in the Centre comes alive from 12:00pm, hosted by James Murden, featuring fantastic performances from:

- Rock ChoirThen, from 4:30pm, join in the festive fun and games on stage with James, leading up to the magical Christmas Lights Switch-On at 4:45pm with Santa and special guest Barney Thomas!
Barney, a dedicated fundraiser for Bristol Children’s Hospital, has completed six incredible fundraising challenges since 2020, raising around £20,000 for The Grand Appeal to support young patients and their families. His efforts have included a mix of challenges – from litter picking to marathon walks and this year, cycling to all 53 sculptures on the Gromit Trail, 110 miles!, All inspired by his gratitude for the hospital’s exceptional care.
Yate Shopping Centre is proud to welcome Barney as this year’s Guest of Honour for the Christmas Lights Switch-On, celebrating not only the start of the festive season but also his remarkable contribution to a cause close to many hearts.
