The Beach is back

Summer of Fun Comes to Yate Shopping Centre

This summer, families can look forward to an exciting line-up of free events at Yate Shopping Centre, with activities running throughout late July and August. From creative workshops to live entertainment, there’s something to keep children of all ages entertained during the school holidays.

Kicking things off on Tuesday 28 July, the much-loved Party Peeps Beach Party brings seaside vibes to the centre, returning again on Thursday 6 August and Thursday 20 August.

Creative minds can get hands-on with a variety of workshops, including Rain Stick Instrument Making on Thursday 30 July, Graffiti Art on Tuesday 11 August, and Tiki Windsock Making on Thursday 13 August.

Live entertainment also takes centre stage, with the vibrant sounds of a Caribbean Steel Drum Band on Tuesday 4 August, and the traditional favourite Punch & Judy show on Tuesday 18 August.

The fun continues with themed days including Piratephenalia on Tuesday 25 August, before wrapping up the summer in style with a Stitch Ohana Fun Day on Thursday 27 August.

All events form part of the centre’s “Summer of Fun” programme, designed to provide free, family-friendly entertainment in a safe and welcoming environment.
