Date Posted:30/07/2012
Yate Shopping Centre has been awarded The Safer Parking Award, a car park accreditation scheme promoted by the Association of Chief Police Officers and British Parking Association to deliver high quality safe car parks.
The Safer Parking Scheme ensures that venues meet the standards required by police forces to ensure good quality management, effective surveillance, appropriate lighting and a clean environment.
Commenting on the Award, Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager, said: “It is a good to be recognised in this way and should reassure all customers that the car park is maintained and run to the very highest standards.
“The car park is one of the key assets of the Shopping Centre. With over 1400 free car parking spaces, it is essential that it functions well and is safe. This award is a testament to the all round effort that our staff and our contractors, UK Parking Control Ltd, put in to ensure that customers can park effectively and feel safe when they are within the Centre.”
